    This blog serves to document my approach to the academic study of religion. Here, I'll report my thoughts and findings on religious and spiritual practices from any background or origin that I happen to study. Should anything prove useful as a supplement to my own spirituality, I may experiment with it and document my experience.

    The title of this blog is a play on the "Book of Shadows" that a practitioner of witchcraft might create to document their journey in the practice. This play is infused with a reference to my favourite Legend of Zelda game, "Twilight Princess", in which the lines between light, dark, and the in-between are crossed as those who dwell in a realm between light and dark--known in-game as the Twilight Realm--are brought into the realm of light. I find the plot of the game somewhat useful as a metaphor for my academic study, which may at times cross the boundaries of what could be traditionally considered "light" and "dark", bringing my experience to an in-between realm of "twilight".
